John Whisler of the San Antonio Express-News has an interesting piece on Gina Carano of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA):
Carano bringing more than a pretty face to the MMA
Gina Carano’s claim to fame used to be her name.
When she began her mixed martial arts career, Carano was known as the daughter of a former backup quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.
And little else.
Today, she’s the face of women’s MMA, fighting her way to respectability in a male-dominated sport.
