Brett Favre must understand the quandary that is facing Shawn Johnson. The current Olympic beam champion is wrestling with the decision of whether or not she should stay in retirement. Perhaps she is not retired. Perhaps she is in a period of quiet contemplation. Perhaps. . .well, Brett would understand:
“…”It’s hard to think of what to do next,” said Johnson, 17, in Dallas on Saturday when honored with the rest of the 2008 U.S. Olympic gymnastics team at the Visa Championships. “My life has been so planned. Really, my whole life has been about the Olympics.”"

Shawn Johnson intends to make a decision before the end of the year. Last year, at the Beijing Olympics, she was among the best gymnasts in the world. Now, she is contemplating retirement from her sport.
It’s a decision Brett Favre didn’t have to make at age seventeen.
