Canada, the United States, Sweden and Finland are participating in the Four Nations Cup. It is preparation for the women’s hockey teams as they polish their play for Olympic competition:
“Jayna Hefford continued her hot scoring spell of late, tallying two goals to help the Canadian women’s hockey team open the Four Nations Cup with a 4-0 win over Sweden.
Hefford, from Kingston, Ont., has been arguably Canada’s most productive player lately. She entered the Four Nations Cup with eight goals and six assists in 12 games versus AMHL clubs, plus three assists in two recent wins over the Americans.”
