For Kim Martin, it has been a long battle with knee pain. She is one of the finest goalies in women’s international hockey:

At the 2006 Turin Olympics, Martin was named the tournament’s most outstanding goalie, dazzling in a semifinal shootout win over heavily-favoured Team USA. Sweden then journeyed on to a surprise Olympic silver medal.
Martin also earned a bronze medal as a 15-year-old phenom breaking on to the scene at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.”
