GinaCaranoMovieFor Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star Gina Carano, future punches might come from movie critics. Film reviews will seem tame in comparison to the fighting skills required in MMA competition. Soon Gina Carano will be displaying her acting talent:

“… Gina Carano is the newest MMA fighter to gain access in to the movie biz. However, she is not entering in on the ‘B’ movie train like her counterparts. Academy Award winning film director Steven Soderbergh has given Carano a role in his new action thriller, “Knockout.”"

John Whisler of the San Antonio Express-News has an interesting piece on Gina Carano of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA):

Carano bringing more than a pretty face to the MMA

Gina Carano’s claim to fame used to be her name.

When she began her mixed martial arts career, Carano was known as the daughter of a former backup quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.

And little else.

Today, she’s the face of women’s MMA, fighting her way to respectability in a male-dominated sport.
